It's Alive

from Free Spirit EP by T.S. Monaghan

/

about

Written in the mid 90's finally getting released :)

About being in a relationship with someone who had a serious drug / alcohol problem. It was like a roller-coaster, ups, downs, and all. But it was definitely ALIVE.

lyrics

She got a heart and its made of gold
You know I'd say that her soul is old
She moves around sorta nervously
Shes always tellin me:

She says that I'm misunderstood
She says my grace is always good
She says that when she fears me
She trembles, she wants to touch

But if I give too much too soon
How can I say she won't leave soon
But when I see her honesty
I can speak unguardedly

And when she comes and touches me
I start to wonder - crazily

And it's alive - it's down on the shore
I feel her heat there even more
And it's awake, the simpleness
And it's alive, the simple kiss

She walks alone much too far
She stands alone at the end of the bar
She comes home, to wasted to speak
I see her eyes she misses me

She says she couldn't wait
To come into my day
She says she just can't sleep
She's killin her, and she can't see it

No, she can't

But if I give too much too soon
How can I say she won't leave soon
But when I see her honesty
I can speak unguardedly

And when she comes and touches me
I start to wonder - crazily

And it's alive - it's down on the shore
I feel her heat there even more
And it's awake, the simpleness
And it's alive, the simple kiss

Oh yeah,
And you can feel it (x3)
